We didn't get around to making a reservation for Valentine's Day at Scoundrel so the next best thing is to get there before 5 and stake out your spot at the bar and bar tables. We sat in the lounge with a cocktail and had a civilized waiting list with the other patrons! Waited about an hour and got 2 seats at the bar (we were number 2) and Kayla was our bartender. Excellent service, excellent mixologist. We had 2 special cocktails which were just lovely. When we got our seats at the bar, I ordered my favorite Vesper. They have happy hour from 5 to 7 with great classic cocktails for 10...margarita, Old Fashioned, Cosmo, etc. We ordered specials from the happy hour menu... escargot (omg to die for) and my favorite Ossetra caviar with creme fraiche and duck fat potato rounds. We ordered roasted shiseidos and another round of escargot. Great atmosphere, excellent staff. I have never been disappointed by any cocktails or food at Scoundrel. Worth Every Penny.

Everything about this experience was phenomenal! Our server Kai was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made some wonderful recommendations. We ended up getting a bunch of hors d'oeuvres to share. We started with the tuna carpaccio and deviled blue crab. The carpaccio was served over stretchatella with fennel, onion jam (I think) pumpernickel crumbs, sweet red peppers, and Calabrian chili oil. The complexity and freshness of this dish is hard to put into words...just get it. The blue crab was sweet and fresh, and the house-made cracker accompaniment was so buttery and flavorful. Next, we dug into some escargot and duck mousse foie gras. The escargot is served out of the shell with herbacious butter and guyere cheese--and bread, of course. Escargot was tender and bursting with herby goodness. The duck liver mousse is served on brioche that has been bruleed with green apple spheres and radish. The apple and brulee toast added the perfect amount of sweetness to cut the richness of the mousse...definitely a show stopper. We ended this stellar evening with the croissant "beignets" with pistachio, rose water, pistachio and rose creams. The texture and flavors were immaculate. They were light and crunchy, and, need i say more about the pistachio cream?? I can't believe it has taken me this long to get there, but Scoundrel is now one of my absolute favorite Greenville offerings. Also, don't sleep on their happy hour burger and duck fat fries special....Tuesday-Friday 5-7. Burger, fries, and a drink for 20 at the bar, lounge, or patio. 10/10 and will recommend to everyone!

Only my second time visiting but I make a point to come here when I’m visiting family. The food is sublime: the Caesar salad is the most important one you’ll ever eat. Colin’s baguette is a must to sop up all the delicious sauces that accompany the meals. Each time I’ve ordered the coulotte et frites I dig in before I can snap a pic! The food menu is delightful, the drinks menu is comprehensive, and the wine list is fantastic. If you leave this place in a bad mood it’s on you, Scoundrel is designed to make a person happy. The service is attentive but not overbearing. Truly a “teamwork makes the dream work” kind of place. They’re all quite knowledgeable, professional, and give great wine pairings. I feel welcomed to be there, I’m happy to spend my time there and the staff appear to be happy with me! Good vibes all around. There are so many seating choices: cafe tables out front; a small lounge; a couple of low bar tables; a long bar; and banquet seating along the main room. Make a reservation as the dining room isn’t huge, you’ll be glad you secured a spot.

Absolutely perfect for a date night! The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all on point for our visit. The Tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly, the frites were packed with flavor, and the desert was amazing! Will be back to try other food offerings and have a few more cocktails in the future. Hope to see this place around for years to come!

Our multiple experiences at Scoundrel have all been nothing less than stellar. The wait staff, bar tenders (artists) and kitchen staff are all top notch. Never had a bad cocktail, dish or experience with service. Our needs are handled proactively and thoughtfully - not the case at the majority of establishments. Love the food, drinks, & overall vibe at Scoundrel. In my opinion, one of the best spots in our downtown Greenville.

I’ll be back with details! But suffice to say it was worth the hype!! Edit: This was a fantastic experience. It’s definitely somewhere I wish I was wealthy enough to enjoy more! (Yes, it’s costly, but they do happy hour specials that would make it more feasible for us peasants on the regular. ) The quality is represented in the pricing and the quantity is comparable to the quality expectations for the price point. That being said - please split the deviled blue crab into two shells, same weight and it will make the diner feel like they’re getting more bang for their buck! Same for the baguette - two for the price, which can be achieved by slightly shrinking their size or reducing the price 2-4. Every bite was tasty, I don’t think we truly had a single complaint about the experience that would keep any of us from returning! The drinks were great, the service was fab (though we did have two dishes taken before we were done with them, training your employees to ask would eliminate that issue), overall I would recommend Scoundrel for special occasions or when you don’t have a budget!!
